Discover new friendships and new ways to help others at Bogart UMC!

First of all, thank you to everyone who came out to our Chicken Stew and made it such a success! Many commented that it was the best chicken stew they had had in years–a report we are delighted to hear.

If you like our chicken stew–or perhaps you missed out and would like to try some wonderful Bogart UMC home cooking, join us for our covered dish fellowship luncheon February 8th immediately following the 11:00 am church service in our fellowship hall. If you are a visitor, please be our guest at the meal. We would love to have you!

We are also hosting a food drive for the local ACTS mission throughout the month of February. Donations accepted during our normal church hours on Sundays, as well as during choir practice from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursdays. ACTS (Area Churches Together Serving) provides food, clothing, and toiletries to needy families and individuals in Oconee county. It is located in downtown Bogart at 130 East Thompson Street. People often forget about food pantries after the holidays–let’s help keep their shelves stocked!

We are also pleased to announce that Alan Root, our resident Lay Speaker, will be delivering the Sunday morning message while our pastor is out on maternity leave. Alan has experience speaking before our congregation as well as others, and we are very thankful to have him.

As always, join us for Sunday school at 10:00 am and Worship at 11:00 am each Sunday. We would be delighted to have you!
